juvenile 電化製品のエレクトロニカな音と笹谷創の詩、歌唱が混ざり合う EP。 ビバップ時代の名手・コールマンホーキンスの名前の連呼。目玉もしくは原子の図解のようなジャケット。『八 x 百万フィーチャリズム』というタイトル。 それぞれの関連性のなさ、時代も場所も違い荒唐無稽にも感じられるが、juvenile 電化製品と笹谷創の両者のイメージの中には存在するのであろう。 そのイメージを使用してまだ見ぬ関連を作為的に生み出そうとしている作品とも捉えられる。 全体を通してカテゴライズするのが難しいが、未来からやってきた香ばしい匂いがそこにある。 An EP where the electronica sound of juvenile 電化製品 intertwines with the poetry and vocals of 笹谷創. The repeated mention of a bebop-era virtuoso, Coleman Hawkins. A cover resembling a diagram of either an eyeball or an atom. Titled "8 x 8 Million Futurism." The apparent lack of connection between these elements—disparate in time and place—may feel absurd. Yet, they must exist within the imagery of juvenile 電化製品 and 笹谷創. This work can also be seen as a deliberate attempt to create previously unseen connections from that imagery.
